Dutch Masters: Febvre and Valk sweeps Round 2 in Oldebroek

Febvre trentino 25 2

Oldebroek hosted the second round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross, featuring a much stronger performance from Jeffrey Herlings. However, the Red Bull KTM rider was unable to stop Kawasaki KRT’s Romain Febvre, who dominated by winning both motos. In the 250cc class, Cas Valk once again went 1-1 to take the overall victory.

The final round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross will take place on May 18th at Markelo.

In the opening 500cc moto, Febvre and Herlings battled in the early stages before Febvre managed to pull away. Herlings secured second place, followed by the Fantic duo of Brian Bogers and Andrea Bonacorsi, with Jago Geerts rounding out the top five.

The second moto was a much easier affair for Febvre, who led from start to finish. Jago Geerts finished second after successfully holding off Herlings, who had to settle for third. Brian Bogers once again led the Fantic charge with a fourth-place finish ahead of teammate Bonacorsi.

At the end of the day, Febvre claimed the overall win with a perfect 1-1 score, Herlings took second with 2-3 finishes, and Geerts completed the podium with 5-2 results.

In the 250cc class, Cas Valk, riding for Van Venrooy KTM, dominated both motos en route to another perfect 1-1 in the series. Janis Reisulis finished second overall with consistent 3-3 results, while his brother Karlis Reisulis claimed third overall thanks to 7-2 finishes. Spaniard David Braceras finished second in Race 1 but saw his podium hopes slip away after a crash in Race 2, though he fortunately escaped without major injuries.
