Dean Wilson wins Arena Cross Brazil Night 1 at Interlagos

The 2025 Arena Cross Brazil season got off to a thrilling start with a double round at the iconic Interlagos venue. On Friday, May 30, the opening round delivered an electrifying atmosphere and standout international performances. Scotland’s Dean Wilson (Honda Brazil) and Chile’s Hardy Muñoz (Yamaha Brazil) emerged as the night’s biggest stars, claiming victories in the AX PRO and AX2 categories, respectively.

AX PRO: Perfect Night for Dean Wilson

The official Honda Brazil rider left no room for doubt on opening night. He topped the time sheets early on and clinched the Super Pole, earning 3 valuable bonus points for the championship. Frenchman Greg Aranda (+2 pts) and Brazil’s Enzo Lopes (+1 pt) joined him on the Super Pole podium and remained key contenders in both main events.

First Main Event: Wilson took control on lap two and held the lead all the way to the checkered flag. Lopes kept the pressure on but couldn’t find a gap to strike. After a crash at the start, Aranda battled his way back to an impressive third place.

Second Main Event: Same story, different gate picks. Wilson and Lopes worked their way from the top five to the front of the pack. Once again, Wilson set the pace and defended the lead with confidence. Aranda, who had grabbed the holeshot, secured another third-place finish.

AX2: Hardy leads Wire-to-Wire

In the AX2 class, Chile’s Hardy Muñoz delivered a commanding ride. With steady pace and no mistakes, he led from start to finish to earn a well-deserved victory. He was followed by Brazilian Be Tiburcio (Honda Brazil) and American Gage Linville (GasGas), who maintained second and third positions throughout the race.
