Reigning champ Dean Ferris was ruled out for the fourth round of the Australia Pro Motocross series in Maitland after a big crash during qualifying.
The drama flowed from the moment the Thor MX1 class took to the track today, when reigning champion Dean Ferris (CDR Yamaha Monster Energy) crashed heavily before he could register a qualifying lap and was taken to the local hospital for further examination.
Ferris has been ruled out for the weekend, and with a potential 75 points on offer, it could be devastating for the four-time national champion’s title defence.
“Our thoughts are with Dean Ferris after his crash in practice/qualifying today. He was taken to hospital with concussion and fractures in his hand and wrist, but will be OK! We will keep everyone updated over the coming days/weeks. We wish him a super speedy recovery surrounded by his girls!
See you back on the track in no time mate.” wrote CDR Monster Energy Yamaha on social medias
