Chase Sexton will not compete this Saturday in Round 3 of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Thunder Valley.
The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider suffered a heavy crash during Friday’s press session. The accident was caused by a technical issue with his motorcycle, which shut off while he was airborne, causing him to lose control before slamming hard into the ground. Despite the severity of the crash, Sexton was able to walk away from the incident under his own power.
«Well, not a great day.Knee feels cooked but will get it checked out when I get home. Incident was out of my control and feeling like a passenger was very scary. I’m just very lucky to be somewhat okay and the man up above was looking over me a thanks for the messages and everyone checking in it means a lot.”
Later, Kawasaki officially confirmed that Sexton will not line up for Saturday’s motos. However, staying true to its usual communication policy, the Japanese manufacturer released only a brief statement and provided no details regarding the extent of the injury or the rider’s current condition.
