Breaking news from the third round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Markelo. According to local sources, Cas Valk suffered a broken femur after a heavy crash during the 250cc time practice.

Valk had just set the fastest lap in Group 2, 0.125s quicker than Liam Everts, when he made a mistake on a double jump that resulted in a heavy crash and a possible fractured femur.

This is a huge setback for Valk, who arrived in Markelo as the championship leader. At the same time, the injury could also impact his MX2 World Championship campaign, as he had planned to return next weekend at Lacapelle-Marival.

Valk recently signed with Chambers KTM after parting ways with the Italian TM Moto squad.

More updates coming soon.
