The new Factory Yamaha rider will contest the 2024 Dutch Masters of Motocross series.
Vlaanderen took the title in 2022 after battling against big heavy rivals such as Glenn Coldenhoff and Brian Bogers. The last two years have been a breakthrough point in his career as he managed to win the GP of Riola Sorda in 2022 and then took a podium in the sand of Lommel. In 2023, he finished 6th in the MXGP standings. These results allowed him to switch from the Gebben van Venrooy Racing team to the official Yamaha factory team, where he will ride alongside Maxime Renaux and Jago Geerts this year.
Now Vlaanderen is back in the series looking for redemption. One of the main rivals will be the reigning champ Jeffrey Herlings, among other MXGP stars.
