The 2025 Spanish Motocross Championship wrapped up last weekend, October 19th, at Malpartida de Cáceres, host of the seventh and final round of the season. It was the perfect setting for an intense finale, with both MX1 and MX2 titles decided in the very last moto of the year.
In MX1, former MXGP rider José Antonio Butrón clinched his 17th national title, capping off one of the toughest seasons of his career. The TRT KTM rider went 1-1 to secure the championship in dominant fashion after a season-long battle with Ander Valentín (Yamaha Ausió), who finished second overall (2-2) and missed the crown by just two points despite leading most of the series.

Gerard Congost (KTM Spain) impressed in his rookie MX1 campaign, ending third overall and third in the standings with one overall win, three moto victories, and multiple podiums to his name.
In MX2, the title also stayed within the TRT KTM camp, as Adrià Monné managed his 14-point lead with a solid weekend — winning the qualifying race and sealing the deal with 3-5 finishes. Oriol Oliver (KTM Spain) swept both motos (1-1) for the overall win, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the championship deficit and he settled for second in the standings. The podium was completed by Elías Escandell (2-2) and Manuel López Carrera (4-3).
