JM Honda´s Brent Van Doninck will be back in action this weekend at the 13th round of the MXGP World Championship in Loket, Czech.Republic.
Van Doninck suffered a broken femur at the opening round in Argentina back in March. Finally, the long recovery ended weeks ago, and after some training sessions, he showed up last weekend at the fifth round of the ADAC MX Masters in Tensfeld.
Brent saw this race as a test to see if he is ready to go into the bigger races. In Tensfeld, several MXGP riders were there to race, making it a good showdown.
In the motos, Brent’s starts weren’t very good. In addition, he was also a bit careful putting his leg down in the first corner. Despite this, he completed three strong motos, finishing 3-3-4 for 2nd overall.
With this second place, van Doninck feels ready to race in the Grand Prix in the Czech Republic next weekend. From here he will continue to build step by step to climb back up to his old level.
