With less than a week to go before the season kicks off in Birmingham (July 1), the official World Supercross calendar has been forced to change the order of the next five rounds. They have also removed France, which has been replaced by the last-minute addition of the new Abu Dhabi GP.
The second SX Grand Prix, which was scheduled for July 22 in Lyon-Décines, France, has been dropped from the calendar. As a resolution, the Singapore GP (September 30) will now move to the second slot on the calendar, while Germany (October 14) will host the third round for the time being.
The fifth round remains unchanged with Vancouver, Canada, hosting its Grand Prix on October 28. On the other hand, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi has been the last-minute addition to replace France, with what is likely to be a “double-header” taking place on November 4 and 5.
The final round remains scheduled for November 25 in Melbourne Australia.
This is how the calendar update looks like:
|1||1st July||Birminham – England|
|3||14th October||Dusseldorf, Germany|
|4||28th October||Vancouver, Canada|
|5||4 & 5 November||Yas Island, Abu Dhabi|
|6||24 & 25 November||Melbourne, Australia|
