Tim Mathys’ team has confirmed via social media that they will no longer be part of the MXGP paddock in 2025.
Standing Construct’s absence next year will be a notable loss in the MXGP paddock. Over the years it has been consolidating itself as one of the best unofficial teams. This year they got their eighth victory thanks to Pauls Jonass’ victory in the GP of Portugal. In total they have 21 podiums and multiples Top 5 and Top 10.
One of the team’s most important moments took place in Latvia (2020) at the hands of Glenn Coldenhoff, giving GasGas the first ever victory in a Motocross World Championship.
The closure of Standing Construct raises doubts as to the whereabouts of its current riders: Alberto Forato and Pauls Jonass. According to rumors Jonass would have sealed a deal with Kawasaki KRT, but for Forato plans are still uncertain.
