It was quite a surprise when yesterday we learned that Maxime Renaux was selected to represent France in the 2024 Motocross of Nations. Not of his speed, of course (after all he won last year’s MXoN) but for the fact he hasn´t raced in over four months due to an ankle injury that sidelined him since the MXGP of Spain back in March.
Now the Yamaha rider confirmed via social media his return this weekend at the MXGP of Switzerland, Round 17 of the MXGP World Championship. It will be interesting to see where is Renaux in terms of speed as he tried to getting shape as soon as possible before the Motocross of Nations on October 5 & 6.
By the way, Renaux won the MXGP of Switzerland last year
