Breaking news emerged today as Austin Forkner has been ruled out of the fourth round of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship at NRG Stadium after sustaining a hand injury in a crash during Friday’s press day session.
Forkner had been filling in for Jordon Smith while also making his 450SX debut, a temporary move planned for the opening rounds of the season before returning to Triumph’s 250SX East Coast program. His transition to the premier class proved challenging: Forkner finished 15th at Anaheim 1, 17th at Anaheim 2, and missed the Main Event in San Diego.
With Forkner now sidelined, Triumph Factory Racing will have no riders on track tonight.

Ty Masterpool is back!
In other notable news from the paddock, Ty Masterpool has made his first appearance of the 2026 season—and in unexpected fashion. Masterpool is lining up on a completely blacked-out Yamaha YZ450F, competing as a full privateer, rather than aboard a Triumph.
Masterpool will attempt to qualify for the Triple Crown format, where only the top 18 riders from combined qualifying times, plus four from the LCQ, advance to the night show. If he manages to make the gate, it would immediately become one of the most intriguing storylines of the weekend.
