Race Results: ACU British Motocross | Round 3 Lyng

Watson Lyng 26

The 2026 ACU British Motocross Championship delivered another pivotal round in both MX1 and MX2, with the title fights remaining incredibly close. Ben Watson strengthened his position at the top of the MX1 standings with an important overall victory, while Charlie Heyman continued his impressive MX2 campaign with a commanding double moto win.

MX1: Watson wins

Watson claimed the overall victory in MX1 with a consistent 2-1 scorecard for DirtStore Triumph. Conrad Mewse dominated the opening moto from start to finish, while Watson moved past Oliver midway through the race to secure second.

Moto two saw Watson grab the holeshot and immediately control the pace at the front. Oliver shadowed Taylor Hammal for several laps before taking over second position, but by then Watson had already built a decisive advantage. Mewse charged from ninth on the opening lap to third and pressured Oliver late in the race, although the Spaniard held firm to secure second at the finish.

The overall podium featured Watson (2-1) ahead of Mewse (1-3) and Oliver (3-2), leaving the championship fight tighter than ever. Watson now leads the standings on 132 points, with Oliver and Mewse tied just five points behind on 127.

MX2: Heyman dominates

In MX2, championship leader Charlie Heyman delivered a flawless performance with a dominant 1-1 overall aboard the SC Sporthomes Husqvarna, taking both holeshots and controlling the action throughout the day.

Billy Askew finished second overall with a 5-3 scorecard, while Ben Mustoe completed the podium after going 3-5.
