The MX1 title fight remains incredibly close heading into the second half of the season. Four rounds in, Crendon Tru7 Honda’s Conrad Mewse leads the standings, but by the narrowest of margins. DirtStore Triumph rider Ben Watson sits just one point behind, while GabrielSS24 KTM’s Oriol Oliver is only 12 points adrift in third. The trio has been at the center of some of the season’s most exciting battles so far, setting the stage for another crucial round at Monster Mountain.
One of the biggest talking points this weekend will be the return of Jeffrey Herlings. The Honda HRC rider will make his second appearance in the British Championship this year after a dominant victory during Round 2. With Herlings back on the gate, the championship contenders will once again have an extra challenge on their hands as they chase valuable points.
In MX2, SportsHome Husqvarna’s Charlie Heyman arrives with a comfortable 37-point advantage at the top of the standings. However, momentum currently belongs to ASA GasGas rider Ben Mustoe, who claimed victory at the previous round and will be looking to reduce the deficit. Reigning champion Tommy Searle occupies third in the standings, 43 points behind the leader, while GabrielSS24 KTM’s Gyan Doensen heads to Monster Mountain full of confidence after securing podium finishes in the last two rounds of the EMX250 Championship.
