The Australian rider will replace Dean Wilson at the FirePower Honda team in the final round of the World Supercross Championship this Wednesday 4th at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
Wilson suffered a dislocated shoulder in the penultimate round of World Supercross in Perth (Australia) after taking an aggressive axe from Vince Friese. Six days later he had to show up for the final round of the Australian supercross, and despite the demanding pain, he was able to finish 3rd and SX1 runner-up just 6 points behind newly crowned champion Joey Savatgy.
Aaron Tanti will take Wilson’s place on the FirePower Honda team. Tanti finished 6th in the Australian Supercross Championship. For Tanti this opportunity will mark his return to World Supercross after riding the 2022 “pilot season” in the SX2 class with the CDR Yamaha team, finishing 6th in the inaugural event in Cardiff and 3rd in Melbourne.
