Aaron Plessinger provides update after East Rutherford crash

plessinger injury update

Plessinger couldn`t line up in round 14th of the AMA Supercross Championship due to a big crash on the free practice early on. The Red Bull KTM rider came up short on a triple in the first rhythm section and his body was catapulted over the next jump. After that, he decided to not line up for the next two qualifying sessions and was out for the Night Show as well.

On Monday, Plessinger took his Instagram to provide an update about his current situation. He hopes to line up for this weekend´s Nashville round.

“Hey guys, wanted to jump on here and give you guys a little bit of an update. As most of you know, I had a crash on Saturday morning that kept me from racing the absolute mud fest on Saturday night. The Alpinestars medical crew did a great job of getting me off the track and into the mobile unit where they did some X-rays and tests, and everything checked out all right and I was able to get out of there and I was on my way back home to Florida where I got an MRI on my hips. Everything checked out all right with that. I got a bunch of bruising, bunch of swelling in there but overall, I’m good. Hopefully, I’ll be ready to race this weekend, but I’ll keep you guys posted on that. But yeah, just kinda dealing with the soreness right now. And I’ll see where it leads from here. But yeah, I just figured I’d give you guys an update and let you guys know that I’m all right and not hurt and hopefully we’ll be racing this weekend.”

Plessinger currently sits seventh in the 450SX standings with a 3rd place in Tampa as his best position so far.
