This Sunday, July 20, the fourth round of the ACU British Motocross Championship will take place at Preston Docks. The event is highlighted by the return of Oriol Oliver to the MX2 class after missing the last Grand Prix due to a virus. The Spanish rider from GabrielSS24 KTM faces a crucial round to close the gap in the championship standings, especially with series leader Tommy Searle sidelined due to a vertebra fracture sustained at the last round of the Arenacross World Tour in Abu Dhabi.
There are also ongoing rumors regarding the physical condition of Billy Askew, currently second in the standings, who may be carrying a knee injury. This situation opens up a big opportunity for Oliver, who has won the last two rounds and currently sits seventh in the championship, 79 points off the lead.
The main attraction of the day, however, will be the participation of reigning MX2 World Champion Kay de Wolf, who will take advantage of the summer break in the world championship to race on British soil.
Meanwhile, in the MX1 class, Conrad Mewse remains unbeaten so far this season and leads the championship by 50 points over Adam Sterry.
