Last year, it all came down to the final race in Markelo to determine who would claim the Dutch Masters title in the MX2 class.

Would it be Rick Elzinga, or would Cas Valk capture the title for the first time in the MX2 category? In the end, it was Elzinga who secured the title, narrowly edging out Valk by just one point to win the championship for the second time in his career.

The good news is that the battle will continue this year. Both riders have confirmed their participation in the Dutch Masters competition and will give their all to stand on top of the podium after the six races!

Rick Elzinga | Three-time Dutch Masters Champion

“The Dutch Masters of Motocross gives me the opportunity to race three great events close to home. I mainly do it for the fans. At these events, you always see many friends and acquaintances, and that makes it special to race here. I’ve been racing the Dutch Masters since the 85cc class, and I think it’s important to be here. I now have three Dutch Masters titles under my name, and it would be great if we could make it four this year. Last year, I had a great battle for the title with Cas Valk, and I expect more exciting and great races again this year.”

Cas Valk | 2024 Runner-up

“Last year, I came very close to the title in the 250 class. It was a great championship, and together with Rick Elzinga, we fought for the title all the way to the last race in Markelo. This year, we’re going for it again! I’ve been racing the Dutch Masters of Motocross since I was young, and I even managed to win the title in the 85cc class. It’s great to race close to home for the Dutch fans and sponsors. Despite the busy MX2 World Championship calendar, I think it’s very important to also race in the Netherlands because, after all, this is where it all started.”
